Remote Support
Net Root normally provides remote support via our Sec Root firewall, which gives our engineers transparant, secure and convenient access to your office or VPN home users. For customers who are unable to make use of this Net Root also provides this easy to use solution. A Net Root engineer will ask for you to download and run this small application. After giving you a connection code, the engineer will be able to work on your machine as if they were right there.
Download
Follow the steps below if you are having trouble. The download is approximatley 93Kb, which will take a few seconds to download on a normal broadband connection.
How to install
Step 1
After clicking on the download link above a window will open asking if you’d like to
Run or Save the file. Click Run.
Step 2
The file will download and a short while later a second window will open asking if you want
to run the file. Click Run.
Step 3
When the program runs a new window will open like on the right. The engineer on the
phone will give you a short numerical code to enter. When you enter the code click on
Connect.
Step 4
After entering the code and clicking connect the window will change and a new window will
pop up asking if you give permission to show your desktop. Click Show to allow the
engineer to connect to your machine.
Step 5
Once the engineer can see your desktop a final question will pop up asking if you give
permission to allow remote control. Click OK to give the engineer access to your desktop.
